Award winning photographer Adina Shore has turned her life long passion into a successful career. After the birth of her daughter she realized a true passion for photographing children. Hundreds of play dates and thousands of photos later... others began asking her to take their children's portraits. Adina has a unique way of making quick friends with kids and making them feel comfortable with her and the camera. She aims to capture more than one side of her subjects personality, bringing their true selves to the portraits. With Adina's painting background and unique sense of style, each portrait stands on it's own as a work of art.
'I like to photograph kids in their space, whether it's at home, the playground, the beach or the farm. When children are in an environment that they feel comfortable in, I have a chance to capture their true selves. No uncomfortable clothes or intimidating studio. Just a play date with me and my camera.'
Adina works with natural light 100% of the time. She believes that natural lighting is the most flattering and realistic for portraits. All of Adina's sessions are shot digitally and in colour. Depending on the lighting, subject and mood, Adina will process the photographs in colour, black & white or sepia . If you have a preference, it would be helpful if you let us know before your session begins. Each session will take place on location, in your own home or at the kid's favorite park, beach, farm, etc.
In your session an equivalent to 2 rolls of film will be shot and the session should last for approximately 1 hour. Due to the nature of on-location photo shoots, outdoor sessions will be weather dependent, it's good to have a back-up indoor location or alternative date decided on. Clothing should preferably be light in colour, patterns are fine, no logos please, they can be distracting in a photograph.
